YEE OLD NEWGATE COON CLUB
Established in 1897
The
club was situated in W. Hartland until 1937 when the club property was sold to
the Water Company and a new parcel was purchased in Norfolk. The limited
membership enjoys over 600 acres of land with an archery target range and a 3D
course. There is a rifle/pistol range, a sporting clays course, and managed
fields for bird hunting. There are ponds for bass and trout fishing with regular
stockings.
The
club has secured game preserve status and has a regulated dog training area.
The
distinctive clubhouse looks like a Colonial bed and breakfast, and has rooms
available for members and their guests. The stewards of the club house keep the
building and grounds in great shape. Deer and turkey hunting are available to
members on this outstanding club property situated in the Northwest hills.
The
ONCC started sponsoring 3D shoots in 2002 and has conducted several 3D shoots
each year. We look forward to seeing the regular shooters again and some new
competitors as we enter the new shooting season.
